Kwintelooijen

Kwintelooijen is a beautiful sand quarry created in the 1970s. This day recreation area is close to our holiday park and definitely worth a visit. The great difference in height of fifty metres on Kwintelooijen is striking; from very wet (fens and marshes) to dry (heathlands). The marked hiking trails take you to the highest point of the site, where you have a beautiful view of Gelderse Valley. 

The former sand quarry is partly a protected nature reserve and partly set up for recreation with a tent/caravan meadow (day camping; overnight stays are not possible here), a playing field, toilet building, picnic tables and parking spaces. A mobile snack wagon is available on nice days.
