For an extensive shopping day, you can be in Utrecht or Arnhem within half an hour, but Veenendaal also has a nice centre and an indoor area, ideal for less sunny days. For specialist shops, antiques, brocante and stylish fashion shops, we recommend the smaller authentic villages on the Heuvelrug, such as Rhenen, Woudenberg and Amerongen.
